I had planned to take the kids swimming on Friday, but when we got up Friday morning, it was overcast and hold onto your hats, pleasant outside. Not the scorching heat we’ve been experiencing at 8:00 in the morning. So, we (and by we, I mean I) decided we would stay home and play outside.
Here’s one of our tomato plants. Look at all those tomatoes! Now if they would just turn red….
And these are peas. I don’t believe we are going to be hurting for peas this year. Nothing really exciting was going on with the okra, green beans or corn yet, so no pictures of them.
The kids ran and played, which of course I was all about because that means they’ll take a good nap!
Just a-swingin’… Please, somebody give that girl some sunglasses so she doesn’t squint in every single picture that’s taken of her.
And a-slidin’… Grayson’s most favorite thing on any playground is the slide.
Sweet boy (most of the time), who desperately needs a haircut…
Sweet girl, who desperately needs her hair brushed. And our sweet cat, who desperately needs to be fixed. Anyone want to come try to get her in the carrier and take her to the vet for us? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
It stayed overcast and cool(er…it’s all relative in July) most of the day. Nice, considering that the forecast for next week shows the humidity will be back up to 650%. I’m glad that we were able to enjoy it while it lasted…
