Abby is perhaps the most observant child on the planet. There is rarely a time we go anywhere that she doesn’t find some kind of money on the ground that someone has dropped. Or maybe she just spends a lot of time looking at the ground. Anyway, this observant nature also translates to people watching. The other day, after eating at Cracker Barrel, she said, “Mom, there was a man sitting at a table and he had a gold tooth. A gold tooth, Mom! But, I didn’t point to him because that would’ve been rude.” Thank goodness for small miracles…
She has been all about reading her Bible lately, and she came to me the other day and said, “Mom, did you know there’s a songbook in my Bible?” She had just gotten a new Bible…one of these new-fangled kids’ study Bibles, so I really didn’t doubt that there might be a songbook somewhere in there. Until she said, “It’s called the Song of Songs.” I explained that was actually a book of the Bible and she might want to hold off on reading that one for a while.
Grayson was holding up two fingers and saying, “Two! Grayson is two!” Then he held up his middle finger and said “One!” I laughed before I could stop myself, so now he thinks that’s the funniest thing in the world.
Abby’s is slightly obsessed with the show Wipeout. She ran in the room the other day and said, “Wipeout comes on Tuesday at 8, 7 Central!” So, she’s prepared to watch it in either the Eastern or Central time zone.
